Roger Ettrick has been with the Colquhoun group of companies for over 40 years and has managed BCHOD country offices within the Southern African region since 1984.
He has a Master’s degree in engineering from Cambridge University.
His project management and engineering experience covers the entire range of technical expertise relevant to the firm’s operations and includes developments to a total value of over US$1 billion in the last 20 years.
Of significance in the hospitality and general buildings disciplines he has in recent years been involved with four hotel projects in Victoria Falls.
John Ridgewell has 58 years’ experience of which the last 37 have been as a Director with BCHOD, Zimbabwe. Much of his experience during this time has been with commercial, industrial and mining infrastructure projects for major clients such as Rio Tinto, Ashanti Goldfields, Zimplats, Nestle Old Mutual Properties and many other industrial and commercial manufacturers. John has been the design and supervision engineer for 8 new hotels and major extensions in Zimbabwe, Zambia and DR Congo in recent years. Recently completed projects include a 25 room new wing at Ilala Lodge in Victoria Falls and the all new David Livingstone Safari Lodge
Lloyd Pararai Fende currently a Senior Civils Partner managing the Civils Division in Zimbabwe and involved in interdisciplinary management of various projects locally and regionally. Involved in General Civil Engineering, infrastructure planning, development and implantation at strategic level, heading feasibility study teams and project implantation managers. Has 36 years Post Graduate experience of which 26 years have been with Brian Colquhoun, Hugh O’Donnell & Partners, and 6 years with Ministry of Water Resources and Development of Zimbabwe, 4 years with others.
PrEng(Zim),MZweIE, AMIET, is a Director with the multi-disciplinary Consulting Engineering firm BCHOD. He is a Chartered Engineer with 30 years’ experience in the field of electrical engineering associated with Building Services ,Infrastructure, Sewage and water treatment works, mining and industrial fields predominantly in Zimbabwe. He has been involved in a wide range of office block, residential and commercial developments in Harare. His experience with design of electrical services to high rise buildings include those that make up the Harare CBD skyline, Century Towers,
Angwa City Center, Corner House, Megawatt House,101 Union Avenue, Unity Court, Meikles Hotel and Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe. Further he has experience in refurbishment and upgrading of services to hospitals, factories and neglected/under maintained sewage and water treatment plants.

of building and all infrastructure works for the US$ 100million Unki Housing Development of which she was supervisor, the US$ 8million 13km Ngezi – Selous road rehabilitation as Project Manager, design and supervision of 10,000 Seater sports stadium, SMC Landfill, Warren Hills Housing Development, Chisumbanje Ethanol Plant, Mainway Housing Development, Rockview Housing Development. She also has been involved with comprehensive assessment and reporting with the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities and project management for the water emergency rehabilitation of 12 major towns and cities in Zimbabwe.
Tendai Marowa is a civil engineer with 15 years’ experience, 9 years of which has been with BCHOD Consulting Engineers. He holds a BSc Honours degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe. Tendai has vast experience in the designing and construction of water supply and wastewater systems including water and wastewater treatment plants. He has managed and designed water and wastewater schemes from initial concepts up to commissioning.

Joseph has also vast experience in the rehabilitation of water and sanitation infrastructure projects and was instrumental in the African Development Bank administered ZIMFUND projects where he was engaged as a Resident Engineer for Chitungwiza Town (2016), Ruwa Local Board (2017), Harare City (2018) and Redcliff Town (2019). The projects involved water and sewer conveyancing pipelines, water and sewage pumpstations, water and wastewater treatment plants and associated infrastructure.
Joseph Mugovi is a Project Management Professional (PMP) registered with PMI, USA and is a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registered with the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers.
Gerald T Manyida is a structural engineer with 9 years post graduate experience in local and regional projects. He has design and supervision experience in reinforced concrete, timber and structural steelwork. He has been involved in a wide range of projects mainly residential, commercial, Industrial developments and mining infrastructure projects such as Southern African Power Pool office block, Halsteds Pomona shop and offices, Tete North Mall in Mozambique, Golden Leaf Tobacco warehouse and Unki Mine housing project.

Tawanda has been involved in mining project for Zimplats; underground and other remedial works, and for Freda Rebecca Gold Mine being lead Engineer in the design of two complete gold plant (mill plinth, crusher plinth, silo, stockpile tunnel and CIL tanks).
He also has notable experience in hotels having worked on Illala Lodge extension and recently Palm river Hotel.
