Upper Mukuvisi Outfall Sewer
BCHOD prepared a report on the proposed Upper Mukuvisi Outfall sewer and as a result the trunk sewer was constructed of 375 mm dia to 900 mm dia reinforced concrete pipes. The trunk sewer was some 12 km long from the connection to the Lower Mukuvisi Outfall sewer to a point of the Mutare Road near the Zimphos factory. BCHOD were commissioned to carry out an investigation and report into the possible duplication of the U.M.O.S and upgrading and new subsidiary sewers in the Firle Catchment Area in 1992. The duplication was delayed but the subsidiary sewers in the lower catchment were designed and
constructed.
